Public comment may be made in person or by phone. Members of the public participating by telephone are encouraged to arrange to make public comments in advance of the meeting at https://www.yakimawa.gov/council/public-comment/ by 3:00 pm the day of the meeting. For those who attend the meeting in person, the City is required to follow the Governor’s Proclamation regarding face coverings. Every person entering City Hall, including those entering to attend a City Council meeting, are required to wear a face covering that covers their nose and mouth at all times. Failure to wear a face covering will result in you being asked to leave the premises. Failure to leave the premises after being asked to do so by City staff is a misdemeanor violation of Yakima Municipal Code section 6.47.050. Masks will be available in the alcove at City Hall. The requirements are found in Governor’s Proclamation 20-25.15, which adopts the Washington State Secretary of Health’s face covering order 20-03.6.
