The City of Yakima (City) is resuming its efforts to continue the reconstruction and improvements to North First Street. The project is funded with NHFP and NHPP Federal Highway Administration and Transportation Benefit District funds.
Long lead times on electrical components for projects has led the City to go to advertisement with a procurement only contract for electrical items to ensure the electrical components are available when needed during construction. The City of Yakima used the procedure established by Washington State law for the bidding and awarding of public capital improvement projects and now the City desires to enter into a contract with Knobel's Electric Inc to procure materials for the North 1st Street Phase 3 Revitalization Project 2580 as they were the successful low bidder. The contract with Knobel's Electric Inc is in an amount not to exceed $782,622.36.
