OIC of Washington received a state grant to evaluate collaborative approaches to gang and gun violence in Yakima.  As part of that grant, OIC will evaluate and reimagine the current Gang Reduction and Intervention Taskforce.  As a primary stakeholder in GRIT, the City is being asked to continue its support and collaboration.  OIC will be responsible for costs associated with GRIT, to be paid with grant funds, and will continue the relationship with DRC to facilitate the Village and Steering Committee.  The City has paid for those costs for the past 3 years.
