The City has a long history of granting four hours of holiday time to authorized employees to be used on Christmas Eve or New Year’s eve. This practice was acknowledged and authorized by the City Council in Resolution R-2005-184. The City has negotiated with all groups of employees to add hours to their vacation or paid time off accruals in lieu of the four hours of holiday time and the benefits of Resolution R-2005-184 are now contained in collective bargaining agreements or policy and Resolution R-2005-184 is no longer applicable. |
