The City of Yakima is eligible to receive up to $1,822,807 from HUD through a new program entitled "HOME American Rescue Plan (ARP)". This award is based on the City of Yakima Community Development Block Grant and HOME Entitlement status. These funds are limited to support housing, shelter and services to specific qualifying populations including those who are experiencing homelessness, at risk of being homeless, or domestic violence victims.
Participation in the HOME-ARP program requires a number of community outreach elements and development of an Allocation Plan. The City of Yakima Allocation Plan for HOME-ARP is due to HUD by March 31, 2023.The HOME-ARP Allocation Plan will guide selection of community partner(s) to provide the housing or services by 2026. |
