Yakima Transit was awarded funding from the Federal Transit Association (FTA) through the Section 5339 (a) Formula Funds to be used towards purchasing four ADA paratransit vans as part of Yakima Transit’s capital vehicle replacement plan.
Yakima Transit was awarded $367,454 on September 8, 2022. This grant award requires a 15% match in which Yakima Transit will allocate $55,118 towards the purchase of the vehicles. The Paratransit vans will be ordered in December 2022 and will be delivered approximately in March of 2024. It is necessary for the City of Yakima to enter into Grant Agreement WA-2022-054-00 with FTA for allocation of this funding. |
