The Capitol Theatre was awarded up to $245,000 from the Local and Community Projects grant program to replace theatre curtains and other soft goods. The Department of Commerce administers the grant funds and has sent the attached agreement to ensure the funds are used as represented. All of the grant funds are expected to be expended to complete the project.
The Capitol Theatre staff is not familiar with the normal routing of legal documents and the agreement was signed without Council resolution granting authority. At this time, the agreement has been reviewed by the Legal Department and is presented to the City Council for ratification. The Capitol Theatre staff have been informed of the process which should eliminate this issue in the future. |
