ITEM TITLE:Resolution authorizing application for funding assistance for a Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) project to the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for the MLK Jr. Pool

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

An outdoor swimming pool at Martin Luther King Jr. Park is in the planning stage. Funding has been secure for the plans, specifications and bid documents for the project.  Funding for the construction of the swimming pool will need to be received from many different sources.  This grant application is for $500,000 to assist with a portion of the construction costs.    

 

Attached is the resolution authorizing application for funding assistance for a Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) project to the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for the construction of a community swimming pool at MLK Jr. Park.
