ITEM TITLE:Resolution authorizing application for funding assistance for a Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) project to the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for West Valley Community Park pedestrian bridge

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

The West Valley Community Park pedestrian bridge over Wide Hollow Creek provides access to the park from 75th Avenue north of the park.  In addition, several neighborhood kids utilize the existing bridge to get to and from the West Valley Middle School.  The existing bridge is in poor condition and needs to be replaced to improve safety.  Funding is needed to assist with the replacement cost and design. 

 

Attached is the resolution authorizing application for funding assistance for a Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) project to the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for the replacement of the pedestrian bridge at West Valley Community Park.
