ITEM TITLE:	Resolution authorizing a memorandum of agreement with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) to maintain a Violent Crime Task Force

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

The Yakima Police Department and ATF maintain a Violent Crime Task Force (“ATF Task Force”) to combat firearms trafficking and firearms related violent crime within the City of Yakima.

The agreement establishes the procedures and responsibilities of both the Yakima Police Department and ATF for the reimbursement of certain overtime and other pre approved expenses incurred relating to the ATF Task Force and to ensure compliance with Title 28, U.S.C., Section 524(c), the Department of Justice, Assets Forfeiture Fund. The agreement is on file in the City Clerk's office.
