ITEM TITLE:Resolution of Interest directing staff and the Yakima Arts Commission to study and prepare the background information on the formation of a "Creative District" in the City of Yakima

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
At the July 5, 2022 City Council Study Session, a presentation was made by the City Arts Commission recommending that the City pursue the formation of a "Creative District". City Council endorsed this idea and requested staff to prepare a Resolution of Interest to form a district, including direction to pursue a study, discuss a potential district  with stakeholders and bring a detailed report back to the City Council.
