Ordinance updating Classification and Compensation Plan for City Employees Section 2.20.100

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

This Master Pay Ordinance includes classification and compensation changes approved and recommended by the Charter Civil Service Commission, City Management, AFSCME, Teamsters and IAFF PERS.

 

Charter Civil Service:

 

Change titles of two Wastewater classifications:

 

8241 Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to become Industrial Maintenance Mechanic II

 

8242 Preventative Maintenance Technician to become Industrial Maintenance Mechanic I

 

Add classification 2314 Finance Department Analyst, Pay Code 979SA ($28.82-$35.02), represented by Teamsters Local #760 (Public Works Division Managers Unit and Supervisors/Administrative Unit)

 

New classification 2121 GIS Specialist AFSCME, Pay Code 24.0

 

Class code added for temporary City Council Mentorship Interns – INT; union and Charter exempt

Pay range updates in accordance with International Association of Firefighters, AFL-CIO Local 469 2018-2021 bargaining agreement for Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) classifications 3.5% 1/1/22; 3.5% 1/1/23; 3.0% 1/1/24; 3.0% 1/1/25

 

Police Captains and Lieutenants represented by Teamsters Local #760 4.0% increase effective 1/1/22 and 4.5% effective 1/1/23.
