ITEM TITLE:Resolution to accept agreement with the Bureau of Reclamation to remove the existing fish ladder at Nelson Dam

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

Part of the Nelson Dam Removal: Water Supply, Riverine Process and Fish Passage Improvements is for the existing fish passage ladder to be removed.  In 1985 the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) originally installed this ladder.  A roughened channel is being constructed and will provide improved fish passage.

 

BOR has awarded the City $490,000 in Agreement R22AP00282 to cover the cost of removing the existing fish passage ladder that has become unnecessary due to the proposed improvements to Nelson Dam.
