The Millennium Foundation has partnered with Tieton Mosaics for the creation and installation of freestanding mosaic pieces within Miller Park as part of the overall Miller Park Improvement project. In addition to the freestanding mosaics, tile entrance welcome mats will be placed at each walkway entrance to the park. A wall mounted mosaic is also planned for the Washington Fruit Community Center.
The project was presented to the Miller Park Improvement Committee, the Yakima Parks & Recreation Commission and the Yakima Arts Commission. All of the organizations have approved the project moving forward. The Yakima Arts Commission will review the project before final approval. |
