| SUMMARY EXPLANATION: | | A number of Washington municipalities are engaged in litigation regarding the overuse and abuse of opioid due to the sale, manufacture and distribution by certain pharmaceutical companies. To participate in any distribution of settlement proceeds, the City is required to agree on a form of allocation and approved uses of the funds. This Memorandum of Understanding outlines the allocation percentage for the City as well as the approved uses, and provides that the City can be issued settlement funds as outlined therein, if the case(s) settle. |
