E Viola Ave Water System Improvements Projects AC2503 and RT2564. The City of Yakima owns, operates, and maintains the domestic water supply and distribution system which had undersized waterlines on East Viola Avenue between S Fair Avenue and Rudkin Road with lower flow and water quality than is recommended. This project replaced the aging 6-inch waterline on East Viola Avenue with a new 12-inch ductile iron waterline including new valves, fire hydrants, and water service connections; followed by the completion of a road surface replacement.
Final inspection for this project was made with substantial completion established on November 15, 2021. The recommendation is that the project be accepted. A final payment of $59,758.98 (5% retainage) is due from the City to Total Site Services LLC for the completion of this project.
