To help strengthen the City's relationship with the Yakima School District, including the partnerships we have been building, the Superintendent and I discussed the opportunity to have School Administration update the City Council once a quarter on relevant activities occurring with the schools and the City Administration providing a quarterly update to the Yakima School Board.  The goal is to continue to find opportunities to work together in areas of joint organizational interest.
