The City of Yakima was provided an opportunity to apply for CDBG-CV2 funds in the amount of $213,181 from the Washington State Department of Commerce. The City of Yakima, through the Office of Neighborhood Development Services (ONDS), has been awarded $213,181 to fund the existing People for People Meals on Wheels Program. These funds will provide meals to low to moderate income seniors within the city limits of Yakima.
The Cares Act CDBG-CV2 funds must be utilized to prepare, prevent and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and must follow the same eligible activity criteria as the CDBG Program. The CDBG Program has three primary objectives: to benefit low and moderate income persons, to assist with problems relating to slum and blight, and to assist with urgent health and welfare needs. |
