Recently, City Management and AFSCME Municipal Local 1122 representatives negotiated in good faith, a contract setting forth the wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment for the next five years (2022-2026). To that end, both parties recommend the City Council review and approve the attached CBA proposal. The AFSCME Municipal group has voted and ratified this proposed agreement.
Highlights of the proposed CBA include:
- Wage adjustments as follows:
2022 Wage increases:
Effective January 1, 2022 2.5%
Effective July 1, 2022 1.0% (Catch Up Provision)
2023 Wage increases:
Effective January 1, 2023 2.5%
Effective July 1, 2023 1.0% (Catch Up Provision)
The Union or the City shall have the right to reopen this Agreement on matters pertaining to Section 17.1 Salaries including results from the salary survey by giving written notice in each year prior to July 1 for the subsequent year for years 2024 – 2026 of this agreement.
Wage increase effective January 1, 2024 2.5%
Wage increase effective January 1, 2025 2.5%
Wage increase effective January 1, 2026 2.5%
- Effective 2024, bargaining unit members hired after January 1, 2012 will receive a 2% deferred compensation benefit.
- Juneteenth Holiday observance added.
- Bilingual/Biliterate pay increased with eligibility to earn up to an additional 5% of base wages.
- Standby stipend increased to $3.00 in 2022 and to $3.50 in 2024.
