This resolution authorizes approval and execution of a contract for inmate health care services for the City of Yakima Detention Facility with Kite Med Consultants, LLC. Dr. Linda Seaman is the CEO of Kite Med Consultants, LLC. The City has had a professional services contract for inmate health care services with Kite Med Consultants since October 1, 2019 (City Contract No. 2019-078), and that contract expires on September 30, 2022.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and changes in procedures, the City needs additional hours of service and language to address inmate health care. The proposed inmate health care services contract is for a three-year term from November 1, 2021 through October 31, 2024, with an option to extend the contract for one additional two-year period. There will be an increase in compensation of $49,600. The compensation under the contract for each year of the three-year period is $157,315, to be paid annually in twelve installments. There hasn’t been an increase in compensation since October 1, 2017. |
