ITEM TITLE:

Ordinance updating Classification and Compensation Plan for City Employees Section 2.20.100

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

This Master Pay Ordinance includes classification and compensation changes approved and recommended by the Charter Civil Service Commission, City Management, AFSCME, and Teamsters. New Charter Classifications:

 

  •  2290 Grant Writer; Pay Code 20.0 ($26.95-$32.39) Non-Exempt; AFSCME

 

Reallocate and retitle 11740 Crime and Intelligence Analyst Supervisor to Crime Analytics Supervisor; Pay Code 973SA ($37.52-$45.63); Non-Exempt; Teamsters

 

Citizens Commission on Salaries for Elected Officials (Commission) recently updated court judges’ salary to $193,447 effective July 1, 2022.

 

The City of Yakima must certify that Municipal Court Judges be reimbursed accordingly. As a result, the pay ordinance reflects the following change:

 

  • Reallocation of 1413 Municipal Court Judge Pay Code 1000 to $88.36 effective 7/1/22.

 

  • Accordingly, reallocation of 1412 Municipal Court Commissioner Pay code 966MC to $56.71-$68.84 will be effective 7/1/22.
