| SUMMARY EXPLANATION: | | This agenda item, if approved, authorizes the purchase of two fire engines. The purchase price for two fire engines is $1,572,308.06 ($786,154.03 each). The funds that the city deems as lost revenue under the federal ARPA program may be used just like an other general fund revenue, which is at the City's discretion. It is believed that, given the current guidance and calculations, there will be sufficient revenue to cover this purchase. This purchase would be through Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC), which is an efficient way for government agencies to purchase capital items. |
