The City of Yakima (City) desires the removal, replacement, and modification of the HVAC systems at the City's Henry Beauchamp Jr. Community Center (HBJCC) to improve the quality of the indoor air by reducing or eliminating airborne contaminants, specifically COVID-19.
The project includes HVAC replacements along with the addition of air scrubbers as well as other related work all in accordance with specifications prepared by the City Engineer.
City staff utilized the state bidding process to advertise for bids. MBI Construction Service Inc. submitting the lowest bid of $118,280. The attached contract with MBI Construction Service Inc. is in an amount not to exceed $118,280. The project is funded utilizing Community Development Block Grant Cares Act (CDBG-CV) funds. |
