City Contract #2019-160 acquired an Index B Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Apparatus. This specialized equipment was required to ensure the airport continues to meet Federal Aviation Administration safety standards while receiving airline passenger service. This apparatus will replace a 1987 fire apparatus, which exceeded it's useful life where replacement parts were hard to locate to make appropriate repairs. Oshkosh Airport Products, LLC, was successful in delivering the new fire apparatus while providing the appropriate training required for both the airport and YFD personnel.
Final inspection for this equipment was made and the recommendation is that the project be accepted. A final payment of $38,044.91 (5% bond) is due from the City to Oshkosh Airport Products, LLC for the completion of the airport's new fire apparatus.
