City of Yakima (City) Project No. 2522 will install approximately 2,200 linear feet of new storm drain collection pipe in Arlington Avenue from South 50th Avenue to South 56th Avenue. The new pipe will provide stormwater conveyance to alleviate re-occurring flooding on Arlington Avenue in the vicinity of South 56th Avenue during rain events. The project also constructs approximately 150 linear feet of new storm drain pipe, one catch basin and curb and gutter improvements at Skyline Way to improve surface drainage. The City previously entered into an agreement with HLA Engineering and Land Surveying, Inc. under City Contract No. 2020-124 to provide engineering design, bidding, and construction services for the Arlington Avenue Storm Drain Improvements. The City utilized the procedure established by the State of Washington for competitively bidding projects. Six contractors submitted bids, with TTC Construction, Inc. submitting the lowest bid of $305,005.
The contract with TTC Construction, Inc. will not exceed Three Hundred Five Thousand and Five Dollars ($305,005) and is attached for City Council review. The project is funded by the Stormwater Capital Fund 442. |
