The City of Yakima is seeking to enter into an agreement with Yakima County for funding from the Supporting Investments in Economic Development (SIED) program for the Yakima Sports Complex (Spring Creek Road) project. The SIED Board has approved a grant of $1,000,000 and a loan of $1,000,000 to the City. Total project cost is estimated to be approximately $3.8 million.
The Yakima City Council had determined that the Yakima Sports Complex is an Economic Development priority for the City. The project includes reconstruction of Spring Creek Road in the vicinity of the Yakima Sports Complex (SOZO) including widening, intersection improvements, drainage, paving, and other roadway work.
The Agreement with Yakima County has been attached for City Council review. The project is be funded with $1 million SIED grant, $1 million SIED loan, and the remaining to be bonded. |
