City of Yakima (City) Project No. 2511 Beech Street Lift Station Odor Control Improvements installs wet well ventilation improvements and an activated carbon air scrubber at the Beech Street Lift Station. Staff have detected intermittent odor issues at the lift station and early signs of equipment corrosion associated with a lack of wet well ventilation. The ventilation improvements increase air exchange in the wet well to reduce equipment corrosion and the air scrubbing system treats the exchanged air to reduce lift station odor.
