Attached for City Council approval is the City of Yakima Engineering Division's 2nd Quarter 2020 Capital Improvement Projects Memorandum and Project Spreadsheet to provide updates on current Capital Improvement Projects from the Water/Irrigation, Wastewater/Stormwater, Streets & Traffic and Engineering Divisions.
The project list assists in the planning of current and upcoming projects. It helps the divisions coordinate their work efforts so that, for example, a street is not rebuilt or seal coated prior to scheduled underground work within the same street.
Recent project activity on current public works projects is highlighted in the attached report. This report also introduces a few Water and Wastewater Division projects that are close to beginning design, permitting and then proceeding with construction phases in the near future as planned and budgeted per their Capital Facility Plans. |
