AGENDA STATEMENT

Item No. 4.C.
For Meeting of: AugustĀ 4, 2020

ITEM TITLE:Resolution authorizing the Interim City Manager to sign a Quit Claim Deed of the City's reverter interest in favor of Comprehensive Healthcare for the property located at 301 South 6th Street
SUBMITTED BY:

Joan Davenport, Community Development Director

Archie Matthews, ONDS Manager

Sara Watkins, Senior Assistant City Attorney

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
In June of 2000, the City transferred ownership of property located at 301 South 6th Street to Comprehensive Healthcare (CHC) for use as part of the Veteran's Homeless Providers Program. The transfer is effective as long as the property is used for that particular program. The City was required to maintain the requirement for a minimum of 20 years. CHC informed the City that the program is no longer going to be funded. Rather than have the property revert back to the City, CHC would like to continue to use it for veteran's housing and services. To do so, the City must quit claim its reverter interest to CHC to get rid of its requirements.
