The Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) Program allows the collection of PFC fees up to $4.50 for every passenger boarding at commercial airports controlled by public agencies.
These funds can be allocated and used by the City for the financing and construction of capital improvements and as the City’s share of matching funds for construction of capital improvements to the Yakima Air Terminal-McAllister Field and its facilities. Approved Federal Aviation Administration projects include design and construction of approximately 29,400 square yards of the East General Aviation Apron (construction anticipated in summer 2021); and design and engineering of Taxiway Bravo Medium Intensity Taxiway Lights (construction anticipated in summer 2022). These projects will ultimately enhance safety, security and capacity at the Yakima Air Terminal-McAllister Field. |
