ITEM TITLE:Project Completion and Contract Acceptance for Moreno & Nelson Construction - Project 2413 Garfield Elementary Safety Improvements

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

City Project 2413 provided for the construction of sidewalks, curb and gutter, storm drainage, crosswalks and ADA ramps at N. 6th Avenue and Campbell Lane between Fairbanks Avenue and Willow Street by Garfield Elementary School, and other related work as part of a Safe Routes To School project.

 

Final inspection for this project was made and the recommendation is that the project be accepted.  A final payment of $11,243.30 (5% retainage) is due from the City to Moreno & Nelson Construction for the completion of the Garfield Elementary Safety Improvements Project.

The total contract cost is for construction only and does not include engineering and other costs.  City Council action is required to accept the project and approve the final construction costs.
