The City of Yakima (City) was awarded a federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) grant by Health Care Authority (HCA) in the amount of $299,988 per year for five (5) years to establish a program to help individuals suffering from mental health and other issues. The City has been working with Comprehensive Mental Health and ESD 105 to develop a program and treatment plan for individuals. Contract K3791 between the City and HCA was approved by City Council on August 20, 2019.
Due to delays at both the federal and state levels, HCA has amended Contract K3791 in order to increase the funding, extend the term of contract and amend the Statement of Work. Funding remains within the respective timeframes of Year 1 and Year 2. The amendment includes:
- The Total Maximum Contract Amount is increased from $299,988 to $600,395.
- The End Date of this Contract is extended from September 29, 2019 to September 29, 2020.
Contract K3791 and the proposed Amendment (K3791-01) has been provided for City Council review.
