During the October 17, 2019 budget study session, the Yakima City Council approved the establishment of an annual Tier II Hazardous Materials Fee in the amount of $3,000 for facilities that meet the threshold levels for reporting hazardous materials stored onsite.  Fee revenues will be added to the Fire Department budget in order to sustain the corresponding special hazardous material fire services and to offset the cost for the services the fire department has been and will continue to provide. 

Approval of the attached resolution would formalize the annual Tier II Hazardous Materials Fees.
