The City of Yakima was awarded Stormwater Capacity Grant Agreement No. WQSWCAP-1921-YakiWa-00013 from the Department of Ecology in the amount of $95,000. The grant funds are provided by Ecology to assist communities in complying with provisions of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination (NPDES) Municipal Phase II Permit. The Permit regulates surface water runoff to improve and protect water quality.
