ITEM TITLE:Closed record public hearing and Ordinance to consider the Yakima Planning Commission's recommendation regarding a rezone application submitted by Gary Delaney for property at 1414 South 2nd Avenue

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

On April 23, 2019, Gary Delaney submitted an application to rezone one parcel at 1414 S 2nd Ave from Two-Family Residential (R-2) to Small Convenience Center (SCC). This property, which is approximately 0.11 acres in size, is landlocked and is adjacent to SCC zoning.

 

The City of Yakima Planning Commission held a public hearing on July 24, 2019 and made a recommendation to approve the proposed Rezone, with the Chair signing the findings on August 5, 2019. Council was provided a complete printed version of the record for review on September 3, 2019 (Council--please bring your packet to the meeting). The Public Hearing notice has been provided to all Yakima-area media, including Tu Decides, KDNA Radio, El Sol de Yakima, Hispanavision, Bustos Media, and El Mundo.
