Coleman Miller from the Department of Ecology Central Regional Office will present the Outstanding Treatment Plant award to the City of Yakima Wastewater Treatment Plant in recognition of the Wastewater Treatment Plant's 100% compliance with their state-issued National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit in 2018.
The City's Wastewater Treatment Plant met all pollution limits, monitoring and reporting requirements, spill prevention planning, pretreatment, and overall operational demands of their wastewater discharge permit to ensure water quality and protection of the environment and public health. |
