City Project No. BD2498 was established for the North Expansion of the Yakima Convention Center. The expansion is to be approximately 18,250 sq ft with an additional 8,000 sq ft renovation. Construction will begin this winter and last for approximately 12-14 months.
City staff used the State bidding process to advertise for bids. Five contractors submitted bids with Total Site Services, of Richland WA, submitting the lowest bid of $10,269,001.24. The project will be funded through the Public Facilities District (PFD) with financial oversite by the PFD Board. The overall project cost is budgeted at $12.5 million. |
