| SUMMARY EXPLANATION: | | The City of Yakima was notified last fall that it was awarded a federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) grant in the amount of $299,988 per year for 5 years to establish a program to help individuals suffering from mental health and other issues. The City will work with Comprehensive Mental Health, ESD 105, Yakima School District, and other agencies to develop a program and treatment plan for individuals. The contract is finally before Council at this time because of delays at the federal level. |
