The Yakima Police Department (YPD) would like to enter into an updated agreement regarding LiveScan that is held with Washington State Patrol (WSP). LiveScan is an electronic fingerprint system capable of reading, classifying, matching, and storing fingerprints, and maintaining criminal history information based upon the fingerprint identification through submissions. YPD is able to obtain and utilize the criminal history information held within the Washington State Identification System (WASIS). This agreement will assist YPD with law enforcement efforts and on-going investigations. There is no cost to the department for utilizing this service from WSP. |
