Leanne Liddicoat, on behalf of River 16 LLC, submitted Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment (CPA), Rezone, and Environmental Review applications for five (5) parcels totaling 2.08 acres at 1601, 1607, 1611, 1703 and 1725 River Rd. The property owner is requesting to change the Future Land Use Map designation from Mixed Residential to Community Mixed-Use and to concurrently rezone from Multi-Family Residential (R-3) to Local Business (B-2). After holding a study session on June 26, 2019, and a public hearing on July 10, 2019, the Yakima Planning Commission recommended approval of the CPA and Rezone applications, with the Findings being signed by the chair on July 24, 2019.
In accordance with YMC 16.10.090, the City Council shall direct planning staff to prepare legislation to approve, approve with conditions, or deny each amendment under consideration; and at a subsequent City Council meeting enact an Ordinance adopting the decision reached at the public hearing.
