On March 19, 2019, the Yakima City Council appointed six persons to participate in a committee to discuss and make recommendations about a potential facility to be located on City-owned land in the vicinity of SR 24 and South 22nd Street. The Homeless Facility Review Committee held five work sessions and concluded their discussions on June 26, 2019.
