Yakima Coffee Castle, LLC, has presented an interest in leasing property located at 2412 West Washington Avenue in order to develop and operate a drive thru espresso shop. This business will provide the community, airline passenger, and general aviation industry alternative food and beverage options, which are are not presently available adjacent to the main terminal building.
The lease agreement allows Yakima Coffee Castle, LLC, to occupy airport property for an initial 20 years with the option to renew another 10 years. Additionally, the revenue generated from the agreement will support the day-to-day maintenance and operations at the airport. Finally, development of the site has been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration and is consistent with land use outlined in the Airport Layout Plan. |
