ITEM TITLE:Project Completion and Contract Acceptance for Ovivo USA, LLC - Project 2471 Yakima Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant - Clarifier Drive Replacements

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

City Project 2471 provided for the Clarifier Drive Replacements Project at the Yakima Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant.  The City contracted with Ovivo USA, LLC for the removal of two existing Dorr Oliver 48S1 drive units, supplying and the installation of two new drive units along with the required hardware necessary to fit the new drives to the existing clarifier.  The clarifier is a vital piece of equipment in the wastewater treatment process to help maintain compliance with the City’s NPDES permit with the Department of Ecology.

 

Final inspection for this project was made and the recommendation is that the project be accepted.  A final payment of $8,237.15 (5% retainage) is due from the City to Ovivo USA, LLC for the completion of the Clarifier Drive Replacements Project.

The total contract cost is for construction only and does not include engineering and other costs.  City Council action is required to accept the project and approve the final construction costs.
