The City of Yakima (City) Parks and Recreation Division has had a long standing relationship with Yakima Valley Senior Citizens, Incorporated, or Seniors, Inc., a Washington non-profit corporation, for assistance with fund raising efforts for the Harman Center. Seniors, Inc. regularly hosts fund raising events, like the Annual Potato Feed, and ongoing fund raising activities, like the Harman Center coffee bar. The funds raised by Seniors, Inc. are utilized for improvements to the Harman Center. In turn, the City provides Senior, Inc. office, board meeting and activity space at no cost.
The enclosed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) continues the current long-standing and beneficial working relationship; formalizing the positive collaborative efforts between the City and Seniors, Inc. |
