Ordinance updating Classification and Compensation Plan for City Employees Section 2.20.100

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

This Master Pay Ordinance includes a change of designation for Division Managers to show they are covered by Civil Service.  These classifications were formally adopted by the Charter Civil Service Commission on December 17, 2019.

1232 – City-County Procurement Manager

1233 – IT Services Manager

1234 – City Clerk

1236 – Gang Free Initiative (GFI) Program Manager

1239 – Strategic Project Manager

1253 – Neighborhood Development Services Manager

1254 – Planning Manager

1255 – Communications and Public Affairs Director (title change to Communications and Public Affairs Manager)

Pay code, union and civil service changes effective January 1, 2019 due to negotiated bargaining group realignment:

 

Class Code 4420 Fire Code Inspector changed from CS: CHARTER and Union: AFSCME to Fire Civil Service and IAFF; therefore changed from Pay Code 19.5 to new Pay Code 548

 

Change Police Chief Pay Grade from 963 to 963PC

 

In accordance with 2.20116 Municipal Code, Ordinance includes pay and compensation adjustment (PACA) per contract for Public Works Division Managers Unit and Supervisors /Administrative Unit represented by Teamsters Local #760, and non-represented employees, Defined formulary PACA calculation includes a 2.05% effective 1/1/2019 plus retro adjustment of 0.43% for 2018.

 

Pay range updates in accordance with International Association of Firefighters, AFL-CIO Local 469 2018-2021 bargaining agreement for Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) classifications, 9-1-1 Call Takers, Public Safety Dispatchers and Public Safety Communications Supervisors.
