ITEM TITLE:

Resolution authorizing a Master License Agreement with New Cingular Wireless for use of the City’s right-of-way

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
New Cingular Wireless seeks to utilize the City’s rights-of-way to install, operate and maintain a 5G wireless system.  It intends to mainly utilize utility poles owned by third parties (such as CenturyLink), but may seek to utilize the City’s poles as well.  The Agreement outlines the terms and conditions of using the rights-of-way, the requirements for using City-owned poles, and the costs and fees associated with said use.  Nothing in the Agreement avoids the zoning requirements of Chapter 15.29 of the Yakima Municipal Code.
