ITEM TITLE:Project Completion and Contract Acceptance for Moreno & Nelson Construction - Project 2412 Safe Routes to Schools - Adams & Washington Sidewalks

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

City Project 2412 provided for the Safe Routes to Schools - Adams & Washington Sidewalks Project.  The City contracted with Moreno & Nelson Construction for the construction of sidewalks, crosswalks and ADA ramps at various locations in the vicinity of Adams Elementary and Washington Middle School, relocating school zone flashers, repairing areas of damaged sidewalk and other essential work. 

 

Final inspection for this project was made and the recommendation is that the project be accepted.  A final payment of $15,033.13 (5% retainage) is due from the City to Moreno & Nelson Construction, for the completion of the Safe Routes to Schools - Adams & Washington Sidewalks Project.

The total contract cost is for construction only and does not include engineering and other costs.  City Council action is required to accept the project and approve the final construction costs.
