The Wastewater Division allocated $750,000 in 2018 for the rehabilitation of aging and deficient clay and concrete sewer mains to reduce infiltration of groundwater which will save treatment costs, improve collection system reliability, and limit the need for upgrades to the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
City Project #2470 was established for the rehabilitation of approximately 7,600 linear feet of sewer pipe in various locations throughout the City by means of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology. The City utilized the procedure established by the State of Washington for competitively bidding projects. Four contractors submitted bids, with Insituform Technologies, LLC. submitting the lowest bid of $464,021. See attached contract.
The project is funded by Wastewater Collections Capital Fund 476. |
