SUMMARY EXPLANATION:

Hordan Planning Services, on behalf of Yakima Valley Farmworkers Clinic, submitted Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment (CPA), Rezone, and Environmental Review applications for six (6) parcels totaling 1.83 acres in the vicinity of South 7th Street and Wilson Lane. The property owner is requesting to change the Future Land Use Map designation from Mixed Residential to Commercial Mixed Use and to concurrently rezone from Two-Family Residential (R-2) to General Commercial (GC). After holding a study session on June 27, 2018 and a public hearing on August 8, 2018, the Yakima Planning Commission recommended approval of the Comp Plan Amendment and Rezone applications, with a modification to also change the Future Land Use of parcels 191330-41429 and 191330-41430 from Mixed Residential to Commercial Mixed Use (zoning of these additional parcels will remain R-2). The Findings were signed by the chair on August 22, 2018.
