The City of Yakima (City) is regulated by the Department of Ecology for stormwater management in accordance with its issued Eastern Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System General Permit #WAR046013.
The City’s Stormwater Division is requesting that Yakima Municipal Code (YMC) 7.83.140 Post-Construction Performance Criteria for Stormwater Management be amended to allow permitees to utilize Best Management Practices from Washington State Department of Ecology-approved stormwater technical guidance manuals for the treatment of stormwater runoff.
Codifying the amendment to Section 7.83.140 completes an important compliance requirement of the City’s permit with the Department of Ecology. |
